Sports Partnership
At Norbury C of E Primary School we understand the importance of giving our children the opportunity to play team sports, engaging in competitions and tournaments with other schools. We are proud to be part of sports partnerships with local secondary schools; Anthony Gell and Queen Elizabeth's Grammar School. Through these partnerships children have the chance to play and participate in sports with peers from surrounding schools. This gives them the chance to develop their skills, collaborate as a team and aspire to be the best that they can be. As a small school, we are proud of our sporting achievements and our frequent commendations for team spirit.
The sports partnership offers the chance for children to participate in a broader range of sports, with some specialist coaching offered. Recently, all children have participated in tennis and dance workshops with the sports partnership. Year 6 children enjoy 'Bikeability' sessions, developing their cycling proficiency and preparing them for increased independence in cycling as they move towards life at secondary school. Professional development opportunities and training are offered to Norbury staff to allow us to develop our 'in house' skills and curriculum offer.
We are pleased that our hard work in developing school sport has been recognised with the Gold School Games Mark. Well done team Norbury!
