We are proud to share the outcome of our SIAMS inspection from June 2025. Our inspector found that our school is living up to its foundation as a Church school and is enabling pupils and adults to flourish.
Highlights from the report include:
A Joyful Vision: Our vision is truly lived out every day, creating a loving, laughter-filled environment where every child is celebrated as unique and deeply valued.
Inspirational Worship: Collective worship is joyful, inclusive, and rooted in Bible stories. Pupils love singing, leading services, and reflecting in our peaceful spiritual spaces—indoors and out.
Learning with Nature: Our engaging curriculum, enriched by forest school experiences, builds confidence, resilience, and a deep connection to the natural world.
A Caring Community: Staff and pupils support one another with kindness and compassion. Every child, including those with SEND, is nurtured to thrive.
Rich Experiences: From music lessons to well dressing, and visits to places of worship in Derby, our children enjoy a wide range of enriching opportunities.
Leadership and Responsibility: Pupils take pride in roles like wellbeing ambassadors and nature garden rangers. Our ‘Agents of Change’ awards celebrate their efforts to make a difference in the world.
Staff Wellbeing Matters: Staff are valued and cared for.
A Place of Peace and Purpose: With school pets, spiritual reflection areas, and a strong sense of justice, Norbury is a place where children grow in character, confidence, and compassion.
