Our Governors
Professor Catrin Rutland
Co-opted Governor - Chair of Governors
My name is Catrin Rutland and I am a professor of anatomy and developmental genetics at the University of Nottingham. Although my educational background is mostly with 17-70+ year olds, I believe the most important stages of learning start early. For many years I have been invited to visit schools and I have written several scientific papers for young people. My links to Norbury CE Primary School go back many years.
I have had the pleasure of coming in each year to talk about being a scientist and a science fiction writer, designing fun but educational days for the entire school and I love seeing the group short stories, anatomical pictures of dinosaurs and even the gummy bear DNA the children create. I am a co-opted governor, was elected as Vice Chair and now serve as your Chair of Governors. I greatly value my own education at a village school and then at a Church of England secondary school, and aim to support our children, parents and carers, and staff here at Norbury School.

Miss Gemma Brady
Parent Governor
I joined the school community in 2022 and currently have two children attending. Since being appointed as a Parent Governor in 2024, it’s been a pleasure to get more involved and support the school in a different way.
Outside of school life, I work in the banking and finance sector, and more recently, I've been involved in a community-focused role. This work centres around helping people build confidence in their financial and digital skills, as well as teaching transferable skills to support them in everyday life and work.
I’m passionate about helping to build on the vision and values of Norbury, and encourage a growth mindset and creating opportunities for all children to thrive. What really resonates with me is the school’s family feel – the sense of care and commitment to the wellbeing of every child, staff member, and caregiver. It’s something I feel strongly connected to and proud to be part of.

Miss Rosemary Mountain
Parent Governor
I am delighted to have the privilege of contributing towards the sustained development of Norbury Primary School as a Parent Governor from March 2023.
I was a primary school teacher for nine years teaching across the primary age range and in varying and changing schools. I co-ordinated multiple whole-school initiatives and improvement areas as Literacy Lead and PE and Sports Coordinator. I now work as Office Manager for an IT services company being involved in many aspects of the business including HR, compliance, quality assurance, accounting, marketing and customer service.
My family and I moved to the area in 2021 and my eldest child started at Norbury in the reception cohort of 2022. I therefore look forward to many years to follow of involvement in the school.
Within the Norbury Governing Body I am the Safeguarding Link Governor and Sports Premium Link Governor.
I have a strong affiliation with the school’s vision and values and commit to promoting these with integrity through my role as governor.

Mr Sean Price
LA Governor - Vice Chair of Governors
I have recently been appointed as the LA Governor at Norbury Primary School and it is a privilege to work alongside some incredible individuals, all of which are dedicated to the core values that make Norbury so special.
As an entrepreneur who founded companies in the IT sector and now consults globally with organisations in the technology and finance sector, I feel I bring a specific set of relevant skills to Norbury.
Having grown up overseas and moved from small rural schools to larger institutions I can appreciate the uniqueness of Norbury and everything it has to offer. Over my career, I’ve served as chair, trustee and board member to businesses and charities, both in the private sector and public sector.

Mrs Nia Williams
Parent Governor
I am delighted to have the opportunity to contribute to the continued development of Norbury C of E Primary School through my role as a Parent Governor. My eldest child has attended Norbury for three years and hopefully his younger brother will be lucky enough top join him next year.
My day job (after parenting my two boys ) is in marketing and technical management. I have experience in creating and delivering a clear vision, and strategic direction for a business as well as overseeing budget and finances to ensure they are well spent. This also includes reviewing performance and identifying opportunities for improvement. These skills, I hope will be beneficial to the governance of Norbury.
I am particularly keen to ensure that the school continues to provide an exceptional environment for its students and enables them all to fulfil their potential.

Jordan Lambert
Co-Opted Governor
My name is Jordan Lambert, and I have had the privilege of working with Norbury School since 2023 as a Christian Schools Worker. During this time, I have come to deeply value the school’s vision, its dedicated staff, and the wonderful children who make Norbury such a vibrant and nurturing community.
Supporting the school in living out its vision has given me a strong understanding of its distinct character and values. A particular joy has been joining church visits, which beautifully reflect the faith, togetherness, and joy that define Norbury. I was humbled and delighted to join the Governing Body as the school moves forward on its exciting journey.
I bring experience of working with school leaders to shape and embed a distinctively Christian vision that enriches school life in both urban and rural contexts. Alongside my current role, I have served as a Foundation Governor in other schools, gaining valuable insight into governance and the importance of culture and strategy within a school.
I am passionate about holistic education—supporting children’s emotional, spiritual, and moral growth alongside their learning—and believe staff flourish best in environments where they feel valued and encouraged. As a governor, I aim to help Norbury remain a place where every child is supported, inspired, and equipped to reach their full potential.
